Washington Park Cross Country Ski Trails

Town of Lorraine
Information:
The Washington Park Cross Country Ski Trails and Hiking Trails are located in the Town of Lorraine in Jefferson County. The trails are located on county-owned forestland. There are approximately 3.5 miles of ungroomed trails designed for the intermediate skier. These trails are also beginning to be used for mountain biking, and are part of the South Jeff Bike Day Trek. The Trails begin at the parking area located off of Washington Park Road. They generally extend to the north to form various sized loops, which allow the skier to choose how far they want to ski. These trails are also used for hiking, and camping is allowed in the park without a permit. DIRECTIONS: To get to Washington Park, take Exit 41 (Adams) off interstate 81. Take Route 11 south to Route 189. Take a left onto Washington Park Road, which intersects Route 189. The entrance to the parking area is on the left-hand side of Washington Park Road, approximately one mile from Route 189
